Question

I have a pontiac sunfire 1996, The heat will not come on but i can hear air escaping when i move the button into different positions. I checked the fuses and the seem to be fine. what else can i check barring a heater core problem.

hi rpg, the system uses vacumnn motrs/actuators to move hot /cold door position, and the mode position [def,heat,vent.]if you are hearing a hiss sound,there is a leak, and cannot move door to correct position, you'll probably need pro help. hope it helps thanks C/B.
