Hi, i am writing for my friend who is in pieces over a situation. i do not know massive details but what i do know is that he and his girlfriend used to send each other pictures of a sexual nature to each other's mobile. his girlfriends parents have found out by mistake and have now confiscated her phone and have forced out of her, her email and phone passwords so they can see what else has been going on, thus reading all her phone messages from her boyfrieind. i think they were together around a year and a half. her parents have now cut off any lines of communication between the two and have forced her to sit and watch them dump her boyfriend by email. this is totally against what she wants. i personally believe that if anyone wished to contact the police over this matter it would surely have to be his girlfiend (ex) and not her parents. am i right about this? and i also believe that forcing a password out of someone and invading ones privacy is also against the law? what is your overview on this matter?
any help appreciated,
many thanks
