It sounds like you have done the right thing by having your vet run the tests. And Flagyl is usually the first thing the vet will give you. You might try a bland diet such as boiled rice mixed with some boiled chicken. Talk to your doctor about a diet for him or maybe running more tests. Sometimes they will put him on a low dose of Flagyl to keep him regular with a special diet. Hill's, Waltham (Royal Canin)and Eukanuba offer excellent special diets to control something like this. Ask your doctor if he would recommend something like this. Don't let diarrhea go on for days as you did the first time. It is important that you get this under control. I hope this helps.
