problem with gauges displaying wrong info

also i upgraded my gauges in the instrument cluster to ones that glow in the dark when i took the orange taks off and then back on it threw the taks offand now my gas gauge and others are off how do i get them to display the coorrect information

If the instruments were working correctly before you removed the orange tachometer, I would suspect that you have loosened a connection or shorted on. To correct the problem you would have to find the loose connection or short. If your old gages worked correctly and the problem occurred after you put the new ones in I would suggest that the sending units are not comparable with the new gauges unless the sending units were also replaced. Knowing the make of gauges and the vehicle you are working on will be needed if you have additional questions.

there is no short everything works its when you have to put everything back together and when i put the taks back to where they were supposed to go they read out the wrong gas the oil gauge is all the way to the right i just want them to read and display the information correctly

The gages are working correctly except when they are installed back into the dash? Are you using the original sending units?
