I decided to spend a quite evening reading a new book "Why I left Jihad" by Walid Shoebat. Got to chapter 6 and have totally lost all calm. Mr. Shoebat was a terriorist, converted to Christianinty, and has written a new and very popular book. However in his quest to make amends with those who he killed (Jews) he has fell for the anti Catholicism some evangelical Protestant groups teach, with a distroted view of history, incomplete and in error. Bias to a fault, he writes in referring to Luther and other reformers 'who fought the evils of the Catholic Church, tried to stop the killings (of Jews) and denounced the Church."
As this man was manipulated under Islam with anti Jewish propaganda, he now has fallen under the errors of anti Catholicism by some Protestants. This Chapter is loaded and we need someone to address his statements; as was done with The DaVinci Code. He is speaking on TV talk shows and radio nationally. He doesn't realize his errors being spoon fed this stuff and new to the faith.The Church in 2000 years has not always had a clean record but what he writes in chapter 6 is so sinsister and misleading we need help here.
