This legendary punk rock group formed in West London, UK in 1976. Although they were an active band from 1976 though 1986, they did not gain popularity in the US until they released their third album in 1979 (US release date was January 1980). This 1979 release has been labeled one of the greatest albums in the history of rock music. This band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.
