Back Handspring

How can i learn to do a back handspring faster?? I go to gymnastics classes! is there any stretches or anything i could do to help?? Thx, Lea

You might try doing some of these steps in a pool first!

Your biggest obsticle is "FEAR", once you get over that, you will do it!

in the pool, try to flip backwards, a good couple of days and you should have it down (at least in the pool, but it is a good start)

start by getting a good backbend

hop up and arch your back

incline, incline, incline! Be sure to find a good incline (not too much & not too little), on a soft surface such as a matters

For me, the only way to do the back handspring is if I do the round off and jump into a handspring

Try to always have someone spotting you, for safety reasons!
