I had comcast phone service (Vancouver, WA) and received a bill for $61 in charges from AT&T in 2003. AT&T was not my selected carrier. It's my understanding the local phone company routed the call through them. It only had one number listed a couple (over 4 months on one bill)dozzen times. Neither my wife or I reconized the number and even tried to call it but it was disconnected. An investigation by my local phone company or AT&T found nothing. What happened?.

Reply to CloudDance's Post: They found nothing to indicate fraud. The local phone company sent someone out to check my line and to be honest, I don't know the procedures they used. They simply said they didn't find any problems. My AT&T bill was separate from my local bill. I just don't understand how I was billed for a number repeatedly "called" that neither my wife or I reconized and couldn't verify because it was disconnected. In a reagion that neither of us even knew anyone? A $61 bill consisting of only one number.
