What may I take on board an aeroplane when travelling

In view of the hightened security measures I would like to know what I can and cannot carry on board and aircraft in my hand luggage.

Reply to Dear Candace's Post: Thank you for the information, but I notice that the answers refer to American flights, does the same things apply to flights from the UK to Europe.

Thanks for your reply. Click here to see the information provided by Heathrow Airport. This is current, up-to-date information for all UK airports. The UK has the severest restrictions, so flying to another European country will not be a problem, as long as you follow the UK advisory.
