I have always been told that most of lifes event can be converted to a mathematical question. What I would like to ask may occur in my home town every day. My question is, if during the hours of 8.30am and 9.00am, if a blind driveway, with access for 12 cars was crossed by 100 students on their way to school, what would be the probability or percentage be that there would either be a accident or near accident? I require an answer as proof to show agruement against a building development being situated next door to our local primary school. I wonder if you could answer this question, or point me in the right direction to someone who could. Thank You
