how often and how long newly greencard can be outside of state

my wife just got an condition greencard which will expire on november 2007 (got it 7-8 months ago). we have 2 beautiful children born here in state. she is out of country for about 6 months with the kids. how often or how long can she be out of the country without any legal action.
