Answer

Lower back pain can be caused by the kidney infection, lower back sprain and strain , herniated disc etc. You need to see a physicia who can order some tests and and find the cause of your lower back pain.

Some other possibilities that needs to be ruled out by a doctor are :

kidney stone

pregnancy

a viral illness such as flu

shingles
