my daughter has a pair of uromastyx lizards ,the 1st one arived11/2yrs ago after 4mo.it was missplaced&another was purschased1mo, after that the 1st was recovered& have been sharing same lg aquarium with land scape since. the 1st one is half sz. lgr. than the newest one. as of about 1mo, ago the lg. reptile is trying to fight with the smaller one. doesnt matter if just been fed or not the lgr. of the two is conducting frequent motivational semeniars on a daily bases should I be concerned? do they need to be in seperate living quarters. why after all this time are they suddenly at a constant dispute?

Hello and thanks for researching this very important question!

Reptiles, by nature, are solitary creatures that only get together to reproduce.

Even males and females living in communities for security reasons do not spend a lot of time in each other's territories.

New individuals arriving in the community are a source of stress and competition in the wild...this is the same in captivity.

Additionally, the Uromastyx family of lizards contains several sub-species that would not recognize each other in a social setting.

Competition can be severe enough to cause physical injuries from fighting, or starvation from food-guarding in smaller animals.

I do recommend that you get a separate enclosure for the new lizard to prevent one of these tragic occurrences.
