Optional Information

Answer

The usual reason for bloody and loose stools are intestinal parasites such as worms, coccidia, giardia, or eating something the dog shouldn't have swallowed such as rocks, dirt, toys, corn cobs, socks etc.
You can read about using imodium in pets here
http://www.petplace.com/drug-library/loperamide-imodium/page1.aspx
and it includes cautions as well as dose info.
Hope this helps you!
