Question

My 4 year old female maltese is wheezing (not coughing) and seems congested from her chest. She is having hard time breathing. When a "breathing episode" starts, she gets "panicky" because she can't breathe through her nose, so calming her down with gentle words and petting seems to help, but the conjestion still remains. Any suggestions. I plan to take her to the vet when they open tomorrow obviously. What can I do tonight?
