Possible hiring discrimination

I was applying for a job through a temp agency and went through an initial interview and some job ability tests, math, reading, recognition. Quite sure that I had aced the test and interview, I was waiting for my placement interview. Instead, I was asked for my whole job history which is over 32 years. I think this is strange at this stage in the hiring process and feel I have been discriminated against because of my overall job history. My 15 year job history is very good while my other 17 years is suspect. Any recommendations on legal recourse
