I have a Yamaha V-Star 1100 Custom. The bike will not start. Nuetral light not illuminated. When I hit the start switch, nothing happens. If I jump the starter relay, the bike will turn over but not ignite. There is a diode under the seat in the wiring harness that burned up. Yamaha dealer could not identify this diode in their parts books, but it is a factory component. It connects to a plug with a blue/yellow wire and blue/white wire. I have checked the kick stand, clutch, kill, and start switches for continuity. All check good. Could this burned diode be the cause of my bike not starting?
