What is the name of the poem and the content of the poem by Guillaume Apollinaire that contains the words "Come to the edge, he said."

It's not much of a poem. It's more of a quote:

Come to the edge, He said. They said, We are afraid. Come to the edge, He said. They came. He pushed them... and they flew.

Hello

The quote you are asking about is known as "Come To The Edge" by the French poet you name, who lived from 1880 until 1918.

What the poet was trying to convey was that despite having fears people will often find that given a little bit of encouragement they can overcome these fears and do well, succeeding or overcoming what they were concerned about.

I hope that makes sense, i am not a poet so maybe do not explainm as well as Apollinaire would have...
