How do you get a GM employee discount, if you are not 1 or their fam ?

I would like to buy a car using an employee discount rate. I have heard that they give out certificates so that people that would not normally qualify can receive one. How do I get one of those certificates? I am not a GM employee, nor am I immediate family of one.
