Hello

After researching to make certain that the long running position of Apple had not changed, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ITunes_Music_Store) i can unfortunately confirm that no, Apple has not changed and will block any attempt to download music from one itunes shop to another country.

The method basically used is the address of the Cresit Card used to open the account.

However, the itunes software is also playing a role in controlling non authorised country usage: http://apple.slashdot.org/apple/03/07/25/1316225.shtml?tid=141&tid=188

An intersting debate, and further explanations, regarding this issue can be found here: http://www.macintouch.com/itunes_store.html    Go to the "Apr. 9, 2004" post.
and here: http://www.123macmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6448&sid=38bb4167781618257d4d6324d645502f

That all said, you have three possibilities:
One, bypass the credit card need by using a gift certificate:
http://www.macintouch.com/itunes_store.html   Go to the "Feb. 16, 2004" post regarding gift certificates.
Two, iTMS International: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=42120   which apparently is on its way. However, there is absolutely NOTHING about it on the Apple website www.apple.com
And Three, Use a credit card and address in the country for which store you want to download from.

I believe this to be a full and comprehencive answer; i am sorry it is not better news.
