Hello
Welcome to Just Answer.
It depends, some strains are grown hardy (
http://www.tripleoaks.com/wpgdisplay.php?id=473 and
http://www.magnoliagardensnursery.com/productdescrip/Nerium_HardyRed.html ). Do you have the label that come with it when you bought it? Perhaps we can check on that specific variety.
Where do you live? We had ours sitting outside, down to minus 5 at times, last winter with no problems, though it was kept near the house and partially insluated with a wrap of straw.
My book states minimum 10 degrees c. (50 F), but "able to handle less". I know that Olianders are pretty robust.
So the key is the particular variety and where you live - ie what temperatures will it be exposed to...
And are you prepared to insulate it for the worst months?
Please let me know if i can help further.
Kinds regards,
Duncan
