I have a first edition hardback copy of M W Redding's "scarlet book of free masonry" in good to very good condition. I am trying to find an approximate value. Thanks.

Ok, you have a very hard to find book. Special printings only of this book are 50.00usd. And that is for the one's printed in 2005.

This book was first printed in 1888 and goes for 145.00usd as listed by:

http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?an=redding&y=12&kn=scarlet&bsi=30&tn=freemasonry&x=64&prevpage=1

Scarce book, even in this condition. Bookseller Inventory # 9569

I would not sell the book for less then 175-200 usd based on the new info.

Hope this better helps.

by the way the keyword was freemasonry as one word and not free masonry.
