Question

How do I forward a message saved in my Verizon Cell ...

Sent to General Experts July 02, 2006 1:54 a.m.

How do I forward a message saved in my Verizon Cell phone mailbox to my home phone? My home phone is not in the Verizon network. I want to keep this message, but am planning on switching from verizon, so I want to forward it to my home phone--answering machine.

The only options available for voicemail messages with Verizonwireless are save, delete, and repeat. I have Verizon for my cell and home phones and it doesn't make a difference. What I would do is call my house from another persons home phone. When your answering machine starts, play the message from your cell phone into the phone you are calling from. Timing may be a bit of an issue here. Also, make sure the speaker from your cell is right next to the microphone on the phone you are calling from.

I already knew this much, and even tried to play message into another's phone to my house as you suggested--voice quality was not good.

Verizon also has an option to forward to another mailbox. I was hoping that there would be someway this option would work. I tried to forward to my home number, but it did not recognize my mailbox.

Thanks for your time, but I do not think I should pay for information I already knew.

Is your home phone number stored and saved within the cell phone?

You should be able to go into your cell and forward to the saved home number? Although the talk here is that there is not a forward. You should be able to send it to your home phone via the options given after it is played.

If you have speaker phone you can also use a handheld mini recorder and play the message into this. This may also be your best bet to get it saved.

On my verizon phone it has the options after the message that say to hear more options..........press 0

then.

envelope information confirmation of message........5

send a copy with your message ..............6

I already went through those steps, and the Verizon voice said it did not recognize my "mailbox number".

All of you haven't been able to come up with anything I haven't tried. I think I will just go to Radio Shack and buy a recorder for phone conversations, call my cell phone voice mail and play the message and record it with the Radio Shack item.

Thanks for all your help. I may try to use you again when I don't have any ideas, but this time I have done all the things everyone suggested.
