what did my dad do in world war 2

my father was a private in WW2 and would never tell us what he did. His name was edward stanley smith and he was born on January 11th 1921

Reply to Crista's Post: My father served for the british army - I dont know which company or regiment I am afraid. He lived in South East London area and was born on January 11th 1922. As far as I am aware he did not specialise and I have been told that he was medically discharged from the army
