I have a cockatiel bird, that lives in a cage, it got outside and flew away. Will it come back or will it survive alone outside?

You could try hanging the cage out where he can see it and his food and water to see if he will come back to that familiar space.
He may be nearby or may not be. Check around with neighbors who feed birds as often escaped pets show up at feeders.
Depending on the area you live in the bird may or may not be able to survive on its own.
Put up flyers in your neighborhood about it being missing and notify the local humane societies too. Sometimes the bird land on someone or go in another window and can be safely found again.
