Unfortunately the makers of DVD burners and DVD recordable media, have not come to agreements on standards.

Therefore there are many types of recordable media.

DVD +R
DVD -R
DVD +RW
DVD -RW

Most computers will burn on any of them, but many consumer DVD players will not play them all. I assume that the computer that burned the discs play them just fine.

The only real solution is to purchase different types of DVD media and experiment until you find one that your DVD player is compatible with.

Hope this helps.

The only way I found my DVDs to work is by purchasing a cheap brand DVD. For some strange reason the cheaper the DVD the better for these types of DVDs!

The brand of DVDs I have, which work with these DVDs:

* Initial

* Mintek DVD-1600

* Daewood

I also have an Emerson, which is a DVD/VHS player which also plays them!
