Only bottom half of picture is shown

I have a 3 year old Sony Trinitron KV-27FV310, that worked great until yesterday. Now, there is a white horizontal line about a third of the way down the screen. Below the line, the picture is perfect. Above the line there is no picture - just black. Have you ever heard of this problem? How can it be fixed?
