Question
I have a atv stator coil that I am going to repair. The coil is a bar that is wraped with enameled copper wire then bolted to the base plate. The flywheel has 4 magnets attached on the inside diameter and rotates around the stator coils.I am using 34 gauge wire,230ohms,47.05grams,874ft,for the primary ignition coil with a cdi ignition box.Can I use 32 gauge wire,115ohms,47.05grams,688ft,79% less turns but same volume? Will the cdi ignition box function with the different input?I am trying to make the coil more durable and less likely to burn out.
