Are the holes on the mother or the kittens? Any time there are open wounds, the pet needs to be seen by a vet. In a tiny kitten, any injury is serious, and for the mother cat, if she has an infection, it can be passed to the kittens by exposure to her milk or just by touch, depending on what is causing it. Please take her and the kittens into your vet as soon as you can to have the problem evaluated by a professional.
