Sent to General Experts May 15, 2006 8:18 p.m.

I want to create an e video, to display on the web, like an ebook, but a video that customers can play and watch online.

I can produce an ebook with no problem, however i have seen plenty of e video's, which you can see on various sites you can see an example of the type of e video i am trying to do on this example at http://www.adsense-videos.com/250k/ this incorporates sound and visuals.

The articles talk of how to post a video onto a web site etc but they are all referring to using a video camera to create the video.

I dont own a video camera, but I need to create a video.

What i need to do is basically to capture either the screen image or record as i am able to move the cusor around the screen, including being able to show drawing as I do it, and be able to give a voice talk. The example video I have given will give an example of what i am trying to chive, but without a video camera, how can i do this. This is what I am trying to find out

Hi Chris,

Those particular videos were created using Macromedia's Shockwave and Flash, there are other softwares you can use, but that is one of the most popular, and that is the only way I know of to create a evideo like that without using a video camera. To prepare an evideo you have to go through the following steps, capture the audio/video using a computer with a video capture card or a video camera, edit the content, compress the content, deliver it over the web. Each of those steps has it's own issues and challanges. If you are not familiar with doing this already, I would try to see if they were offering classes locally, either on working the software or creating the evids.

software suggestions:

I hope this helped.
