What is your opinion on loading Homework for teens on the weekends?

I am doing this for a perswasive essay for my english class. And i need to perswade the school administration to stop homework from being given on the weekends. I find that homewrok is not only stressful and agrivating for us young adults, but the weekend is a time for us to relax and be able to be refreshend for the new week a head, but if theres homework that a teacher assigned us to do over the weekend, then we cant get the rest we need! So im asking your help, and your opinion on this matter. Also my teacher said i needed an experts opinion. Thank you!!
