Separating ligquid for dental lab

Sent to General Experts April 17 08:39 PM

I would like a formula for making separating solution which keeps plaster and acrylic separated in a dental lab. This substance is paited on plaster models and then acrylic is poured on the plaster. This liquid forms an onion skin which can be peeled after use. This is an existing product.

Reply to Deann Simmons's Post: The one I am looking for creates a type of an "Onion skin" which can be peeled off. Any further ideas?

Do you have any place to find other dental lab formulas?

Reply to Deann Simmons's Post: Dear Deann,
Thanks for all your help, but you have not solved my problem. I want to make a separating liquid that developes an Onion Skin. None of these ideas indicate to me that they do this.

I am not interested in buying such a product, but I want to make this myself.

In view of all this, I would like to pay you $25 for your efforts. Please tell me how to do this.

Reply to Deann Simmons's Post: I have asked dental labs and they do not know the answer. Tru Byte and Alcote will not divulge their proprietary formulas.   Please ask Just ANswers how to get paid partially through their system.

ok but I would like to make one more suggestion

call 1-800-582-2702 and ask for a MSDA sheet for the separator you are looking for. That would have the ingredients. you would have to buy the first batch but after that you would have the formula.

as far as paying me, I think you would just as "Just Answer" how to do a partial payment.

Thank you,

Deann Simmons

Reply to Deann Simmons's Post: OK, but since this is not a hazardous substance, the MSDS will not indicate anything. I will call them later to verify this. I have a lot of experience in this field.   Any dental LABORATORY chemical formulas you can find, which I don't know about, I will pay you $25
