It sounds like you have a fantastic gun, and I believe you got it for a steal! I spoke to a friend over at
http://www.collectorsfirearms.com and they even expressed an eagerness to purchase the gun should you ever be in the market to sell it. They couldn't give a price without seeing some jpegs of the gun, but he said drop him an email anytime and he'd be happy to give you some numbers.
Although a guns worth is really what someone is willing to pay for it, after researching, I believe you can ask for well over 2000 for that gun.
