I reciently took an HCG Quantitive test and the results are <5 what does this mean?

I guess that I should have been more direct... It was my first HCG to see If I was pregnant...<5 is a neg reading, however I am having pregnancy symptoms...I have very light spotting once a month and (where I am a 28day cycle heavy two days and light the last day.) I am over weight and I have lower abdominal pain. My bloodsugar is normal. I have headaches,and neausea.

I have had two spotting periods. I did consult a doctor however, I like second opinions. I am having a rash of blood testing done. did I mention I have a light yellowish discharge from my nipples and I also had a tubaligation in 1992.
