Could you please identify my J. Stevens Favorite. Information is as follows. Octagon and round 18" barrel.Stamping on top of barrel behind rear sight reads: J. STEV but it ends due to the barrel stops at the frame there. Underneath that it has:CHICOPEE FALLS. Other markings include, Behind trigger on stock support reads:7196. Metal bracket on forearm reads:MB13. Recoil pad reads STEVENS FAVORITE. The seller informed me it was a 32 cal. It appears to be a center fire pin but really not sure. Any info or value will be appreciated. Thanks!!!!

The model number is the number you found behind the trigger.

Click here for all the J. Stevens arms info I found for you! This site had the following on the J. Stevens Favorite models:

"Blue Book of Gun Values shows $165 - $195 for a Stevens Favorite in 80% - 90% original finish. Standard Catalog of Firearms separates several different models and values in Good condition range from $200 to $250."

This does not have the same dimensions but is a close contender: click here to see the picture of it. Value $525
