I am considering credit conseling for me and my husband for our loans and credit cards. Too many payments to make, if you know what I mean. I would like suggestions on the best companies to check out for a quote. I am more interested in suggestions from those that have dealt with these companies before with success. Thanks for any help.

Dear Melina,

I used a CCCS organization several years ago, and I had a lot of success.

They set me up with a program where they negotiated a smaller payment with my creditors, then I payed them a single monthly payment about 1/3 of what I was doing before.

After I was back on my feet, I paid the whole thing off right away.
