what could be the problem on a 2002 Passat as each time I make tight turns it make carckling noise could it be the bearings?

Answer

You will need to replace the right side half shaft.What you are hearing is a bad outer cv joint.That is if the noise is coming from the right side.Usually they are both about shot at the same time so you may want to consider doing both.
