hello,
this may be a silly question, can you manage to blow a fridge/freezer when putting the 60,80,or 100 amp fuse back in to the cut out.
the fuse was put back clean and crisply in one push no sparks no flash.
no satellite equiptment was damaged which runs with a 3 amp fuse.
is the customer just trying it on for a new fridge or was this possible.
the customers main switch was not turned off, as the customer was not in at time of the electric meter change, which is in a cupboard outside.
the tails are all in the correct order they came out of the old meter as i marked them with a marker pen 1,2,3,4.
i later returned to the property to find out the fridge was german and has a 2 pin plug going in to an adapter so it can be plugged in to our main.
i pushed all the connectors together and turned the customers main switch from indoors off and on,the fridge started working ok. a martindale was used as well showing all three lights.
but later on that day i recieved a call stating the customer wants compensation as the fridge is no longer working.
what do you think,
many thanks scott
