My parents can no longer fill their own taxes . My parents are 85 and 88 , they are moving in with me in April. They do not know where the information to file taxes are packed.I am in W Va and they are in Charlotte N C. All of their things have been packed and they are putting them in storage some place. It will take me time to find the information as well as to do their taxes. I need form 4868. I don't even know how you get such forms, I am disabled and have always been with my parents. I am in W V due to a death in our family. When the house in Charlotte is vacated,March 31, we will probably move to Durham,the question seems complicated, but I am sure that the answer is not overly complicated. I hope.

There are at least two ways to get that Form 4868. You could call IRS at 1-800-829-3676 and ask for it. They'll send it in the mail. It normatlly takes 7 to 10 days to get it that way You can also go online to http://www.irs.gov find it under Forms and Publications, download it, fill it out, and mail it in to IRS.
