Question

My male kitty is on urinary tract food to prevent blockage, and since I also have a female cat, she is also eating this food even though she doesn't have a problem. My problem is that she throws up every day! Do you think it's because of the food?

Optional Information:
Age: 10; Female; Breed: tabby cat

Already Tried:
I give her hairball remedy once a week. The puke never has fur in it only chewed up food or spots of stomach bile. She is not an outdoor cat.

If this is something that started when you started feeding the UTI food, then I would have to say that is probable that is why she is vomiting. If its possible to feed him in a separate part of the house...maybe behind closed doors, so she can't get to his food, that might be a solution. Its harder with cats as they like to eat throughout the day, but if you could allow him access for a while at different times per day, that may solve the problem. If its the food that is doing it, you will be able to tell. If she only has access to her own food, and continues to vomit, you know the 2 are not connected. Since she is getting up in years, her digestive tract is changing and may need a senior formula that is easily digested. Hope this helps and sorry it took so long for an answer :)
