i have a home stereo and no sound comes out from the speaker ports

my stereo is an aiwa CX-NMT70 reciever and my friend was cleaning the lens and when he put the cover back on the cover hit the board and little spark came out and now there is no sound. is this fixable or do i need to get a new stereo?
