Question

I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra. I am following the maintenance schedules every 3K Miles by taking it to a dealer. But the dealer rips me off for around 200-300 $ every time for some thing or the other on maintenance of the car. This has happened to me 4-5 times. I have driven around 20K Miles. Now I am thinking of just changing the Oil every 3k miles. Please suggest what major service needs to be done and when without getting ripped off..

Optional Information:

Answer

will along with the oil and filter change they are rotating the tires and checking your brakes.. the bealer dos a safety check every time you bring it for what ever any resin you bring it in so you cant say when you drive way you can't Say that they did something to your car and for all that they are charging you

so if you can do your one servicing i would do it. only tack your car to the dealer if there is a problem and it is under warranty and if that is why you are tacking it there.. there are other places you can tack it as long as you have a record of the work that is done that will not void your warranty...

safety check list

brake, brake pads rotter percentage of ware

tires and tire balance tared ware percentage
