I would like to have some advice about getting rid of gas.

I would like to have some advice about getting rid of gas. It just seems to keep building and building since my gallbladder was removed. I have had a lot of problems with this. It's like it just stays there. I have tried gas-x,mylanta,well just about everything i could find.My stomach is all blown up from the gas. A few times i got rid of it,then bang,it came right back again. I have been to a few GI drs, and they haven't done anything. I even tried Regland,no good.I am at my wits end about this. I can't take it any more. Please,can you give me some advice?

Unfortunately, there can be a few causes for this gas and bloating that you are feeling. The most common causes are:

Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction (SOD)
Delayed gastric emptying can also be present after cholecystectomy. A gastric emptying scan can evaluate this.
Dyspepsia (gastritis or peptic ulcer disease)
Inflammatory bowel disease
A mass
Infectious colitis

I have had a few colonsopcys and they say nothing is wrong. I am beside my self on this.I get a lot of gurgeling going on. Sometimes i have to take a lot of mylanta to get rid of it.There are times the gas sets os bad it goes right to my shoulders.My own Dr says he doesn't know what else he can do for me.The GI Drs, are treating me like i am making it all up.I try to stay away fom foods that are gassey,but it still don't work. There are times i don't feel like eating,because my stomach feels full already,and if i do eat i blow right up again. I burp all the time,and it is getting on my nerves.I just don't know what to do any more. I don't go out much any more because of this problem.Sometimes i let out so much gas my rectum burns.I even wnt to see a Dr that just handels the colon,and so far, nothing, i am suffering like a dog here.I hope this helps a little more.
