If you add another person to the title of your home does your taxes go up? Does your house or land get assesed again?

Answer

 Each real estate taxing authority has the option of changing the rules since they are not governed by IRS.  Generally this will happen only because the value of the home is set when the title transfers(adding another name to it).  This is also true if a senior citizen has qualified for a lower rate and now a younger person is also an owner.
