I have a new light that should be hard wired into the wall. I would like to change this lamp into one that plugs in. I do have an adapter kit, however, there are wires in the lamp that I am not sure about. They are sconce lights. Thankyou.

At the most, there should only be three (3) wires in your lamp, a black 'hot' wire, a white 'neutral wire and a green 'ground' wire. In most cases, there are only two (2) wires, a black and a white. Theses wires are easily connected to a standard two-prong plug. Connect the black wire to the brass colored screw and the white wire to the silver colored screw. If there is a green wire, you will need a three-prong plug and it gets connected to the green colored screw. This should help you out.

hello

i think i understand your question you said your lamp should be hard wired. this means to me that it only came with a couple of short wires coming out of it.and you also said you bought a kit. is this what you mean ? and could you tell me what is in the kit ? if you answer these questions for me I'll be glad to help you
