ACCEPTED Check Mark

Margaret Tarrant was a prolific English illustrator who created posters, greeting cards, calendars, postcards and illustrated books. She was most popular during the 1920’s and 1930’s for her romantic depiction of children, fairies and animals. She was born in 1888 and dies in 1959.

John Mathieson & Co Edinburgh would be the gallery where the prints were first sold.

Wandering Minstrels and Elfin Chorus are the titles of the prints.

The value will depend on the condition of the print (foxing, flocking, damage, color retention, etc.), the subject matter (children, elves and fairies are her best sellers), and whether the signature a part of the print or handsigned.

Handsigned, in good condition, desirable subject matter, in original frame would bring about $110-$125.

An original print (ca.1920-1950) all original in frame, good condition, etc. will bring about $25-$50 depending on subject matter, etc.

These prints are not rare but desireable and collectible. You can check out ebay listings to get an idea.
