Question

What is the best thing to do? My 13 year old was just diagnosed with Mast Cell Grade 3. He's had the surgery
he is acting fine right now but what is his prognosis?

You may want to follow the surgery with chemo (prednisone) which can reduce chances of it coming back rapidly.
Grade 3 does have the poorest prognosis.
Do the supportive measures to delay the return or spread of the tumor that you are comfortable with doing.
My advice is to enjoy every minute you have with him. Do things you both like to do.
Don't be sad with him as he will pick up on that and become unhappy himself. He's a senior dog now so enjoy what time you have.
