Let X be the distance from the wall. The sound must make a round trip of 2 X before the echo is heard. You need to know the speed of sound, which depends upon temperature. 340 m/s is a pretty good value for a cold cave. The product of sound speed V and time is the distance travelled. Thus

340 m/s * (2.5 s) = 2 X

X = 425 meters
