Question

my female rott is coming into heat for the second time and she isnt a year old yet. how often does this occure? and is it safe to breed her to my male at this time?

Answer

Dogs come into season aproximately every 6 months but dogs vary and some go 8 months and some only 5 months so tracking the heat seasons on the calendar is wise.
I would not breed so young a dog especially of such a big breed as she needs time to mature before she has pups to give all her nutrition to.
You'd be better off waiting for the third heat at least and many prefer to wait until the hips are proven to be good by OFA x-ray at age 2 before considering breeding any dog.
