Answer

Your question is not clear.

A Server is generally a service provider. It provides some service to all of it's clients.

For example, a Disk Server or a storage server provides the storage space for all the clients. Client computers will be able to store all their data on the storage server, as if the storage space belonged to them exclusively. But the server, based on it's logic, allows multiple clients to share the storage space. Because multiple clients are using the storage space, cost of maintaining such a big storage space gets shared between the clients. Also, as a byproduct, since clients have acces to some common storage area, depending on the set of rules implemented by the server, clients will be able to share their data with other clients.

Similarly an Application server provides a particular application and clients will be able to use services provided by the application.

An Internet server provides storage space for millions of pages of data which then can be accessed by miilions of computers from around the world.

In Client server programs , the program is split into two parts - a commonly performed task being kept as a server program and the program that mey need to change or may have to perform different actions depending on the context being kept as a client program.

Hope this helps. Please contact if you need further clarification.
